Beyond the main ridge
Ćićarija is the quieter half of the protected landscape.
Učka Nature Park includes not only the Učka massif but part of Ćićarija to the north. Its high plateau, open limestone country and smaller settlements offer a more spacious, less concentrated mountain experience.
Veli Planik at 1,272 m is the highest point of Ćićarija. One of the park’s listed routes starts at Brgudac and makes a 10.6 km loop through Korita and Veli Planik with 470 m of ascent.
