Karst is the mountain’s underlying language.
Učka is built predominantly from sedimentary rock, and its surface is shaped by the processes of limestone dissolution, fracture, erosion and water movement that define the karst landscape.
Vela Draga is the most legible introduction: towers, ravines and exposed faces compress a complex geological story into a landscape that can be read on foot.
