Morning — start at Poklon
Use the visitor centre to orient yourself and confirm current conditions. Begin the classic route to Vojak while temperatures and visibility are usually more favourable.
Late morning — Vojak summit
Allow time at the stone tower for the 360-degree geography: Istria, Kvarner, islands and the inland ranges. Return to Poklon rather than rushing.
Afternoon — Vela Draga
Drive to the Vela Draga trailhead and switch scale completely: from panoramic geography to close-up geology. The educational trail is short enough to work as a second chapter without forcing another major ascent.
What to skip
Do not add a full sea-to-summit route to the same day. The aim is to understand Učka, not to turn the first visit into a mileage challenge.
